1. Scope

These terms apply to the Hungry Map app for iPhone and iPad and to this website, provided by Christian Weinmayr, Austria (see the imprint). In addition, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Standard EULA) applies to the app. If these terms and the Standard EULA conflict, the Standard EULA prevails unless mandatory law says otherwise.

2. What Hungry Map shows

Hungry Map brings together information from third parties — OpenStreetMap, Apple, Google, restaurant websites and our own automated research. Opening hours, menus, prices, diet information and ratings may be incomplete, outdated or wrong. Restaurants may change their hours or close without notice. Please double-check anything that matters to you, especially before a long trip.

3. Calorie estimates and diet information

Calorie values are rough estimates generated automatically from menu text. They are not measured and are not nutrition, dietary or medical advice. Diet labels such as “vegetarian” or “vegan” come from third-party data and automatic analysis and may be wrong. If you have allergies, intolerances or medical dietary needs, always ask the restaurant staff.

4. Premium and subscriptions

• The core app is free. Premium is available as a monthly or yearly subscription or as a one-time lifetime purchase. Prices are shown in the App Store before you buy.
• All purchases are made and billed through Apple’s App Store. Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• If a free trial is offered, it turns into a paid subscription at its end unless you cancel before then.
• You manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions). Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
• Refunds are handled by Apple according to its policies (reportaproblem.apple.com). Your statutory rights remain unaffected.

5. Fair use

Please don’t misuse the app or our server — for example by automatically querying it, trying to extract its data in bulk or disrupting the service.

6. Third-party content

Map data © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database License. Maps and place cards are provided by Apple; ratings are shown by Google. Their respective terms apply to their content. We are not responsible for the content of restaurant websites.

7. Liability

We provide Hungry Map with care but cannot guarantee that it is always available or error-free. We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence and for personal injury. For slight negligence we are liable only as far as mandatory law requires. Statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.

8. Changes and applicable law

We may update these terms when the app changes; the current version is always available here. Austrian law applies, excluding its conflict-of-law rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods; if you are a consumer, the mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence remain applicable.
